Morel Mushrooms!

Here are a few mushrooms my husband found yesterday. Since we don't have a "super secret" finding spot it takes us about a week of hunting to have enough for a meal. We had our first bunch last week. Yum!


Two reasons I don't like mushroom hunting:


Snakes. Yikes (click on the picture to view at a bigger size... this one was huge)

and ticks.... this one was on my son's sock. (Picture taken on the front porch where he stripped down to his underwear as soon as he saw it.)
